Soiling His Bed
April 6, 2015, 7:44 AM- Q: Day one of potty training, my dog peeded on top of the loft instead of pee pad. Is this a big deal for a 10 week old pup? What about if he poops while we're at work and he steps on it???
- A: There are some steps you can take. First, clean the loft thoroughly. For many puppies this is an accidental problem and may not reoccur. Try moving the loft to the opposite end of the palace or adding a fluffy bed to te loft. Until your puppy gains control over elimination there is nothing you can do to prevent him sepping in a soiled area. Again, for most puppies they learn to avoid this problem on their own. Having the larger cage usually reduces the risk.
