Q: Our puppy is still pretty young, though about 12 1/2 weeks old. We took him to a soccer game and he was playing a lot with other kids and balls. He all-of-a-sudden got very crazy and started to jump and bite everyone and everything. In fact, he was hard to pick up as his mouth was going from side-to-side, trying to bite us. When we eventually picked him up and held him he calmed down. Any thoughts as to what is going on? Over stimulation or anxiety?
A: Any youngster has to learn to pace themselves and for very young puppies this means that you have to be the referee and not allow the game to get out of control. Take small steps especially when children are part of the game.
