Cleaning Teeth

March 4, 2014, 7:24 PM
Q: I have a teacup Maltese who is approximately 9 months old. Do you have any suggestions on how to "easily" clean her teeth? Should I just use water and a toothbrush? How often should they be brushed?
A: There is a Doctorpup video on cleaning teeth. It is in the home demonstrations category. Just like us tooth brushing needs to regular and often to do a good job, for dogs at least twice a week. There are also some oral rinses for dogs that help if brushiing doesn't work out for you and your pet. One example is C.E.T. Oral Rinse.
