Common Conditions

Clear urine

Q: Hi, My puppy Olive is going on 11 weeks. She seems to be exceptionally far along in terms of housebreaking but I have noticed that, in the handful of accidents she has had in the house, that her urine is consistently crystal clear. There is no yellow coloring whatsoever. I’m not sure if this is normal for a pomsky puppy (she seems healthy otherwise) but I wasn’t sure if it could be indicative of a potential health problem. She has a vet appointment next week. Is this anything I should be concerned about?
A: An 11 week old puppy does not have much ability to concentrate urine so it is usually pale, as long as she feels good you probably don’t have anything to worry about.
